ASTM A213 heat exchanger tubes are seamless steel tubes for boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers, made of ferrite and austenite alloy steel.
ASTM A213 alloy tubes undergo specific heat treatment processes, including normalizing and high-temperature tempering, to obtain the required mechanical properties. The normalizing temperature is 1040 degree , and the holding time is not less than 10 minutes. The tempering temperature is 730-780 degree , and the holding time is not less than 1 hour. After this treatment, its microstructure is tempered martensite.
ASTM A213 seamless alloy tubes are designed for medium and low pressure boilers. Their working pressure usually does not exceed 5.88Mpa, and the working temperature is lower than 450 degree . This type of steel pipe is widely used in heating surface pipelines, economizers, superheaters, reheaters, and petrochemical industries.
